Freudian Slips On Mute
A secret handshake announced
the end of the bloody feud between
car stereo thieves and single moms
Under the piss-colored halo of the streetlight posts
the smoke machines spewed their
repentant philanderer speech
And the cavernous voices of the presidential ghosts
asked in unison:
“When is the next leap year?”
