No Story

One boy got tall and they had to stop him from growing.
How could something so small hurt so much?
One girl got her nipples pierced without her parents knowing.
Old men insist on moving without a crutch.

How can something so small hurt so much?
“I don’t know how I did it.”
Old men insist on moving without a crutch.
“I’ll suffer for a little bit.”

I don’t know how I did it.
I take so many x-rays now.
“I’ll suffer for a little bit”
They say with wincing brow.

I take so many x-rays now;
Again and again
They say with wincing brow
“I’m in a lot of pain.”
