Those who visit like to call it

the place where winter began

and never ended.

I like to prove those

people wrong

and take them

out to watch

the clouds stucco

and sleep like wolves

over the lake.

We watch them

unravel the sky

until there are no words

between us, only a great

distance where our eyes

learn to shine.
